I'm a WW1 British army reenactor, so I know British web equipment like the back of my hand (I own a full set of original WW1 British army web gear). I'm more knowledgeable about WW1 gear, but I have dabbled in WW2 stuff as well, which is why I know the P37 equipment.

Now that's cool. I have seen WWII reenactment stuff on the telly also Napoleonic stuff, American Civil War etc, but never WWI. Was at Verdun last summer...it is somewhat eerie...still. Ever visited some of the battlegrounds in Europe ?

Yeah, I visited Ypres - saw Hill 60 and Hellfire Corner (the place generally accepted as being the most dangerous spot on the face of the Earth in 1917 - now it's a traffic roundabout). I visited the Menin Gate and saw the bugler play Last Post there. I actually stayed at Hooge Chateau which was the site of very heavy fighting - it is now a REALLY nice hotel run by VERY nice people. The Cloth Hall museum at Ypres is great - they had just finished it when I visited - I reckon it has to be the best WW1 museum in existence. My grandad fought at Ypres and my great grandad and great uncle fought on the Somme, so I have a lot of family history wound up in WW1.

Hehe now you've got me planning another trip out to Belgium. I must visit Brugge again and stay longer at Hooge Chateau.

Cool stuff. I did not visit Somme yet, actually there is an idea for a late summer trip . Lived in Germany now 14 years, and guess what that does for an ol WWII History fan :p Not much of that up in Sweden where I come from...if you are not in to the 30 year war and other stuff from the 16th-18th century ( I am that as well but not as much).

This summer we are going up to Laboe (maybe 7-8h drive from where i am at) to check out the U-995 type VIIC http://www.schiffbilder.de/name/einz...and~Laboe.html
That's one I completely missed and really looking forward to.

Possibly a single mission deal, perhaps. The one time I used A Brit Commando team it crashed when I let them loose and I didn't try again.
