1. Pioneer 111 or 112 series. They have outstanding write quality for the price, both single and dual-layer. Absolutely avoid Samsung and LG. I don't know what all is available in Europe. Liteon aren't terrible, but they definitely aren't the best. 2. If you're going for compatbility, that means DVD+R with a DVD-ROM bitsetting, MPEG-2 and either Layer2 or AC3 audio. "All in one solution"? Tmpgenc DVD-Author can do something for you -- it's very basic, but will do various editing, including overlays (text). The AC3 is a purchased addon, and you'll want to activate the "advanced" settings. I have never actually tried using the built-in burning segment of Tmpgenc -- I've always exported and used Nero. 3. Media quality.Speedlab's forums have a list of good media to use. You want to match up media with your burner, because a poor write will cause problems regardless of everything else done correctly. 4. FRAPS? What the heck does FRAPS have to do with making DVD-R's of pictures? FRAPS is for DirectX captures. |

Thanks tycho, I will head to the forum of Speedlabs next, then. I eventually will try to turn DirX captures into a DVD movie, too, that's why I asked for that one, too. I have this crazy plan and screenplay for a huge blockbuster movie on my mind, incorporating the graphics engine of both Flashpoint and Steel Beasts, you know...
