I hope someone can at least update on status of the patch, a few sentence post on ubi forums or sh4 page would really be appreciated. Me and my friends basically holding off until this next patch.

Well the devs confirmed on the Ubi site, a good couple of weeks ago, that work on 1.2 was underway. I think that should be good enough.

With these things, setting a hard-and-fast release date is hard actually. Imagine all the yelling that'd ensue if a big but fix-able leak was suddenly discovered a day before the promised patch date, and it'd take another 10 days to solve and test it properly?
These things happen! I think the devs have been screwed up enough by a hard release date set by Ubi; no need to constrain them again.

In all reasonable terms, and going by the SHIII experience, I would be surprised if we didn't see a patch by the end of the month. That's my educated guess

Thank you! I was afraid I was going to have to give the correct answer myself.

Yes, it says it's 'as good as done' and that it'll be ready 'in a few days'.

My German is so-so, but as far as I get it:
  1. FSAA and different screen resolutions are in.
  2. Volumetric shading is no longer tied to Environmental Settings.
  3. Volume control for radio messages and gramophone added.
  1. ?
  2. Something about the damage model of the Maru and Middle Freighter.
  3. Mk-10 torpedoes have been fixed in some way (Versagerquote?).
  4. ?
  5. Damage model of u-boats modified.
  6. Volume control for music and radio messages.
  1. Sound volume problem fixed (as far as I get it).
  2. Something about MP.
  3. Something about replenishing ammunition in ports.
  4. CTD when hitting 'A' key fixed.
  5. ?
  6. ?
  7. The 'invisible monolith' is fixed.
  8. Something about realism settings for MP.
  9. Something about the stadimeter.
  10. Something about the textures of marked objects in the 3D office.
  11. Apparently the game no longer crashes(?) when you hit F2+some weird German key.
  12. ?
  13. Apparently the name 'Stevens' on the stopwatch is no more, its fun value notwithstanding:p.
  14. No more spotting ships with your surface-to-air radar.
I regret that I never paid much attention in German class, but I think I got the biggest gems covered [cough]Anti-aliasing[/cough], no?

Either way, you can run it through Babelfish.

Again... looks promising.

Now brace yourself for the "enabling FSAA brings my system to its knees !" posts.

Nun gibts ein paar Neuigkeiten. So wie ich erfahren konnte ist der Patch für die Version 1.2 so gut wie fertig.

Wir werden wahrscheinlich morgen, also Donnerstag, schonmal die Readme posten können.

Thats what one of the official german ubisoft forum moderators yesterday said.

Translated it means:
"We have some news. As far as I know the 1.2 patch is almost completed. We will probably post the readme tomorrow (thursday)."

So, hopefully we will get the readme today.

I respectfully request the developers take their time with the patch. Let's make it the best patch a patch can be

I'm in no hurry, the game is playable for me in the state it is in. At this point the patch is just a bonus for me.
