Time for this weeks uber update for those who care.
Well uber 2.0 went out to testing this week but will be sometime before its finished, 2.0 is now as those who've been following along already know is now based on a typeIXD2 instead of the originals IXB hull. 2.0 now has Directors cut auto evasion maneuvers mod built into it. and what a huge difference it makes to the enjoyment of the experience. AEM is a little quirkey but if you master its quirks it is so worth the effort. now you can order your crew to zig zag while you fight the ship. a tremendous enhancement of uber, (although not really intended it was for video makers) but it works great. when I used to do manual driving and we would get in range of 2nd escort group in the included mission they would score 1 for 32 shells with my original evasion pattern prototype they would score 1 for 16 shells yesterday after I released it the day before I got to use it in an actual game of surface combat as opposed to testing and wow althought I wouldnt garauntee the result we sat in amazement yesterday with our hands off the wheel and watched while the autopilot as it were got up there result was as best we could count 1 hit for 64 shells from elite six elite blackswans from GWX an astounding result to say the least but whats more important is that it reduces the skippers workload down to enjoyable, a fantastic addition. 2.0 also has the following changes More speed (37.5 kts on glassy seas with no engine upgrades) more armour on the conning tower gun postions and a few armour tweaks for the rest of the sub to make twenty minutes in heavy surface combat survivable. Ships mass and displacement increased to 2500 tons surfaced for improved stability in high speed extreme maneuvers (she still rolls about 35 to 35 but this is an improvement over rolling 60 to 60 ) also this was partly resultant of simultaneous speed change so a balance had to be met she still rolls under high speed like she should and is steady at all other speeds upgrade power boost now 1.125 and 1.25 respectively (112.5% or 125% original speed rating) peridepth and schnorkel depth both now 12.5 m that I guess will conclude this weeks uberupdate for now. Thanks eddie nice to see my first customer still kicking in contributions.
I should have put this out two or three days ago and im sorry to all. however for those of you with uber 1.3 beta it is advised that you d/l Directors cut Auto evasive maneuvers from my FF as this will really do a lot to make it more fun and less work I drove handsfree half an hour in the surface combat mission and let my crew drive and shoot without input it works great if you master the few quirks that AEM has. totally worth it. |

has this mod been released or is it just with the people in the development team that have it what is with the Star Destroyer, is it a AA uint now because i'm going to have a whole lot of fun

Hi Doomgiver your name is enough to make you part of the Ubergroop welcome aboard as it were,
the early beta version 1.3 is available on my FF however it wont work correctly for campaign games due to an error on my part, if you do decide you would like to download Uberboot 1.3 beta from my FF it will work in a campaign but sadly only for the first four months of the war. (silly huh,my bad) anyway if you decide to take as is advised above id recommend grabbing the auto evasive maneuvers mod and mastering its quirks as once youve figured out the necessary things to get auto evasion working it makes uber so much better its crazy. also were fairly looseknit here and so feel free to make suggestions as well as questions. the current version of uber in testing is now Beta2.2 and is no longer limited its avaialable in all campaign years, also its no longer based on the IXb of uber1.3 but a IXD2 thats had its physics reworked to enhance highspeed stability . also beta 2.2 will sometime this week or next be the testbed for uberboots M/P mission, hope that brings you up to speed. finally (I knew wed get to this question eventually) there are no imperial star destroyers in uberboot mod, but I know a guy.............................. |

is this able to play with GWX ow well we can't have everything in this back to playing Silent hunter 3 and Star Wars Empire at war until 1.2 for silent hunter 4 comes out

Yes it was totally built on GWX so although it doesnt reflect GWX teams
fine eye for historical detail, it will play on their truly beautiful game. (no not this post the one above it Jeffe' ) |
