Yes it happened to me at start mission, but radar contacs come back if you submerge and surface.

Another thing i experienced, was i loss al air contacts after upgrade to SJ-1... may be the combination SJ-1 and Improved SD doenst works fine.
At next mission, i change my SJ-1 by an standard SJ, and stay with SJ, and Improved SD, and air contacts comes back...

Here is something im finding with my radars, as soon as you steer any course South of East or West ..... ie the boats bow crosses 90/270 heading south you loose all radar contacts. Turn back to the north and as soon as the bow reaches 90/270 or any degree north of that the contacts return.

It does not matter where the contacts are in realation to your boat ..... only the direction your traveling.

More on this ..... first noticed in the campagin so I made a single mission with a start date of 1945 so I could test most of the subs. Parked a stationary Yamato in the middle and have been sailing all around it out of visual range. Its the same for every sub I have tried. If your bow is pointing north the radar works ..... turn south and you lose the contact.

Im assuming that is the same for air contacts but have not tried that yet .

Has someone released a mod with these adjustments included? I don't remember seeing it if so. Link?
I tried, and failed...... miserably. I think ive only reduced the number of surface contacts.. at best. and even that is doubtful after more playtesting.
