I've got to try to remember this because I delete them.
In GWX you get the howling wolf & then the SH3 intro video? If that is correct then I would suggest deleting the UBI intro video. There have been reports of these causing trouble like yours due to driver conflicts. You can find these files by searching the program folder for 'intro'. This should fix it for you.

Ok, strangely enough I didn't have to do anything but "reboot" my computer. So after doing three installs and having no luck. I rebooted my computer and the game ran without a hitch! =)
I also managed to find a copy of SH4 yesterday and installed the game. I patched it to 1.1 and then booted the game and was promptly given a CTD. So keeping in mind what I read here I disabled the intro movies and then the game booted fine. So I re-enabled the movies and the game booted fine again! I don't know why it happened this way, but I'm happy to say I am running SH3+GWX and SF4 1.1 without a problem now. David |
