I also have some questions for skippers who already have the game, and have digged a little deeper into it.
(SH3 veterans prefered ![]() Still desperately waiting for the review from Neal Stevens... Most postings by posters already have received their game copy are just related to graphics, i´d love to get some infos about game mechanics... So here are a few questions: What about running on the surface with electrical engines, is it possible in SH4? Would be usefull to avoid acoustical mines (if the developers had included them) and sneaking around in calm seas... It would be great if someone could post some details about possible engine controls... ----------------------- Can the player switch the interior lights manually (saving batteries, avoid detection..) or is it done by the sim automatically like in SH3? ----------------------- Will the watchcrew change clothing if the weather changes from rain to sunny, or will they stand in full raingear forever, like in SH3? ----------------------- Will the AI run into their own minefields, like in SH3? Is the external Camera bug with mines present in the area solved? ----------------------- What about AI fired Torpedos? Are they in? ----------------------- What about pin-point DC drops, did they solved that issue? ----------------------- Is the save game bug solves? i guess it is after reading some postings here it is... ----------------------- Is it possible your sub is loosing oil permanently? ----------------------- Hows the spotting ability at night (watch crew, ai controlled vessles) ----------------------- Is the sub taking water when running deep? Bilge pumps (very noisy) modelled? ----------------------- Can the Ai fire Guns at radar contacts? ----------------------- Screenshots always welcome, would be great if some lucky skipper who has the game already could find some time to answer at least one of the questions. I guess my copy wont arrive until saturday or even next week, so it´s hard seeing other fellows already playing. ![]() Would also love to read an after action report by a skilled captain.
