Use SH3Cmdr or edit the CFG file. I personally have mine set to 128 near land. This won't always help you as you will still be knocked out of TC when a plane or ship is spotted. Also at 128 TC nearby ships can be lost from visual only to be spotted again. A bit frustrating but I'm usually out of Lorient in about 2-3 mins realtime.

128 is about right
With those settings I whip through the Kaisers canal and out of Lorient Though I do like to stand on the bridge and manually sail out most times |

Go to "My Directory"
Click on SH3 subdirectory to open. Click on cfg subdirectory to open and locate the file called "main" which you'll open. In this file, at the top you'll see a list of the time compression settings. You will want to change the proximity to land from 4 to 128. I've also changed the enemy aircraft setting to 0 so the computer stops when I'm attacked by aircraft. Be sure you click save before you exit. |

I have read so many posts on this forum of "I'm afraid of going into or changeing files". Or I forgot to do a backup. Or better yet I forgot where I
changed it. With SH3Comander you can change tc any time you want and change it back and set tc for a list of different circumstances. this reminds me of an old acronym K,I,S,S. :rotfl: |

Lorient + High TC = a Bernard type outcome!
Lorient: one of the few downsides of being a Type IX Skipper
