Well the full screen has returned as for some reason the main.cfg file in my documents\shIII somehow reverted to fullscreen=no. Not sure what tthats about. Still CTD when loading a game. What files do I need to backup to keep my saves?

Down and Out took care of my problem. Main.cfg in my documents had become corrupt crashing my game and reverting back to fullscren=no. Also had to delete my last save game as that had become corrupt too. All seems well at the moment though. Down and out you da man!

Actually yes. I have a bad fan in my case that make a lot of noise sometimes. Last night was one of those times so I got out of bed and exited the game. Right as the game was about to finish closing I switched off the power supply and went back to bed. Guess I should wait for it to shut down next time.
