are there any ports that are considerably easier to hit than this? what i mean, are there ones with less in the way of anti-sub defenses (mines,nets) that usually have a good amount of traffic in the harbor? (i recall someone saying NYC is pretty lightly defended in those regards)

you wont even get renown for it. Its not part of the patrol its just a bit of extra fun if you want it
