From Guadacanal to Saipan at the end of a battle, at the end of a day, above or below the surface, someone cranked up a Victrola and put on some music somewhere out there .

Try Goldwave. I use it and it is great. Shareware also! Just type in Goldwave in the Google search bar

VERY IMPORTANT RADIO !!!

This was broad casted in 1945 Aug 15th exactly 12pm.

Voice is Emperor Hirohito.We called this "gyokuon housou"
(info wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyokuon-hoso )
It is hard to understand almost even Japanese,
becasue what he saying was very very difficult term.
Almost Japanese had first time to listened his voice.

Perhaps we could revive interest in these files after the game is more stable, but it sure does add to the imersion factor.

I voluntered for two patrols on a boomer to be the ships disc jockey, during the Vietnam war no less, but the crew really enjoyed the daily broadcast.

"This is radio station WSUB only the best in news, sports and weather ..."

Said that a few times lol
