Usually play 3 to 4 hours at a time and have a standard patrol done in one week real time. When back in base let the sub being refitted and the crew have a good time for at least a week while the Kapt'n goes flying a Bf 109 on the Eastern Front or F16 in Korea, Balkans or Desert Storm. Rinse and repeat.

I get to play no more than 4-5 hours a week. Unfortunately work and other things keep getting in the way. I also stray from SHIII and give Dangerous Waters a go now and again.

In fact the "bad" thing about sub sims compared to most other games is that they are slow paced sims and require a lot of time in the campaign mode. The good thing is that because there is lot of non action time, you don't have to stare at the screen all the time and you can do something else while it's running - of course we have many accounts this has lead to some bad events like if you're too far away when planes show up or forget you just hit the D key before going in the kitchen to prepare a coffee or grab a beer in the fridge...

This kind of thing happened to me a few times, so now when I am running surfaced in hostile waters I grab a book and stay close to the keyboard. I make the kitchen stop or anything else away from the PC only when far from danger or submerged...

2-3 times a week, maybe 4-5 hours total tops, which is plenty for me. Work, kids, a life, keep me plenty occupied

Sat/Sun mornings maybe 2-3 hrs each, + about 2-3 hrs twice or so during the week, so total around 12 hrs per week. Usually takes me about a week to do a patrol.

I don´t do 24/7, but not far from it, have been out off work the last months. Lucky me, or not!?
And then there is the time I spend here

And I do have a real world life too, believe it or not
