I'm still fairly new to SH3 and GWX so I'll be in the Atlantic for the foreseeable future. I'm sure at some point I'll pick up SH4

I totally agree, plus GWX will keep this game alive

If there is going to be a comprehensive source code development kit released would it be a crazy idea that someone would make the Atlantic war in the SH4 game system?

Steed, you hit the nail on the head. My sentiments exactly.

The only thing I'd add to it is.... I'll also wait for the bugs to be worked of of SH4 and mods done for it. And I'm leary of buying anything with Ubi on it.

I have no doubt that I'll still play SH3 again after numero quatro comes out, but with SH4 I'm hoping to recapture some of the moments I had back with the original Silent Hunter. The Pacific Theatre has always held more of my attention... probably because the sunny South Pacific has always sounded alot better than the dreary North Atlantic to me

But there is one thing I hope will draw me from the Atlantic first and foremost:

A feckin' PPI scope!

U-Boats forever!!!
Though i have pre ordered SH4 via subsim and will keep it on the shelve hoping that some one might beable to merge the SH3 theather of operations with the SH4 theather of operations. To have both games in one would be utopia.

I will play SH4 eventually but I'm in no rush, as it will be full of bugs for at least 6 months plus. SHIII will probably stay on my machine for a very long time to come yet. Can't say the Pacific submarine theatre holds as much interest for me as the Atlantic.

Why is there no box to tick for my level of ambivalence?

Murphys law and Ubis prior track record will suggest they will have it patched about 3 times maybe 4 before the end of the year....
