Its good to have animated crews on the warships, but I hope they go to battlestations when under heavy attack and not just stand around like fairies.

Looks good. That's some good detail of the ocean floor as well....

Nice screenshots but I dont like the depth in "meters". US Subs using "meters"...not good...hopefully there is an option for Imperial System. I have heard folks talk of such, but seen nothing solid.

Those gauges are in feet not meters, the large one above the guy's head measures more accurately and only goes to 165'. The other on the right of him goes to 450' which is all the gauges went to....the gauges didn't go any deeper than that although the subs did many times.

The Gages are the ones used to measure in feet...but the notation in the bottom right corner says meters. Then in another shot the gage says 60 Feet...but the bottom right says 20M in that worded notation again. Last edited by Captain_Jack; 02-23-07 at 09:26 PM. |

Not sure, it may be a placeholder from SH3 in a some beta SH4 build. Looking at the larger gauges, they're not in metric.

That is not a gauge......it is the toolbar....which is obviously set in metric for your eurotypes. Since we have already been told the toolbars and gui interface will be customizable I am sure that you can have it in Imperial or Metric, just like you could put SH3 in German or English.
To further back the gauges argument, here is some photographic proof I took on the USS Cod.....a Gato class sub: ![]() In this next picture is the Galley which is forward of the control room, there are compartments below it when you walk through it there are corrugated metal flooring in some parts where you can see down into the bottom (although here all you see is that awesome 1940s linoleum), I could picture them putting prisoners down there. ![]() Finally here is one of the COs quarters, you can clearly see the gauge by his bed, it goes to 450. ![]() Last edited by The WosMan; 02-23-07 at 10:01 PM. |

I have a strange feeling the gagues will be in feet, yet everything else will be in meters. |
