This is the only valentine worth posting.

I hate valentines, but hey, it and my birthdaay are the only times when my fair lady is actually happy to do the cooking! AND the cleaning

I cook most days, in fact any day she deigns not to spend at her parents. So, she thinks its a nice little touch for her to cook. Shame that she's not that great with variety...:rotfl:

What she does she does perfectly, but there is very little the she does/

I just gave my wife to be a back scatch for two hours and did some tidying up for her. She didn't want flowers (I was tempted!) When the next valentines comes around we will be married. I'm already planing to cook her a meal and clean the house, while she soaks in the bath, eating chocolate!

She gets a single red rose* every valentines since we've been together, though this year she's been hankering for blue roses which are expensive (read: waste of time heheh).
iirc the Japanese have the right idea about giving peeps flowers- bit of an insult giving someone something that is going to die so quickly.

Still, she got to put her feet up and eat Belgian chocolate truffles whilst I made my signature spag-bol and wine meal. I say 'signature' to hide the fact that apart from a roast, it's the only thing I'm any good at cooking

* apart from the year she got a carnation instead.... I was in a hurry that lunchtime and being the sort of bloke who regards flowers as something that other people know about, how was I to know the difference between a carnation and a rose who's flower had not opened?! :rotfl:
Well, I know now, and am often reminded by her in polite company at every oppertunity designed to cause me maximum discomfort
