It's nothing to be taken seriously. Unit control is limited to very simlified controls. It's fun to play around with, the graphics are nice, but all in all not worth getting.
It feels like playing with little models.

It's a nice break from the die-hard sims..

But come on, a Gato doing 25 knots underwater? Who stuffed rocketmotors in its rear tubes?

The eye-candy is well worth it, ships and planes look authentic though don't expect realism here either. Shooting the guns is simply mouse over a target and hit the left mouse button, range is calculated automatically.

This said doesn't mean there's a fun factor in the game, on the contrary, I found it entertaining enough that I completed the US campaign. (nice little backstory as well mind you).

I think the game comes in its own during multiplayer matches where the 2 teams can get into each others hair by launching a good mix of planes and ships to take down the enemy flatop. Haven't tried that yet but will do in the near future.
