Near where the USS Pompano, USS Wahoo and USS Runner were sunk during World War Two, right between the SOJ and the Sea of Okhotsk. Why?

Yes, the way the Sim tracks order priority for platforms has been significantly improved.

For A/C's and helos this means they will utilize their weapons much more effectively and be much more aggressive. In terms of dipping, the stock helos retain their active sonars, but they are not utilized at all by the doctrines.

So, stock helos won't dip intentionally, although if a helo flys low enough, it may drag its dipping sonar, although I don't see why it would be active.

Cheers,
David

PS And yes depth charges work very nice.

The thing I noticed, after I heard the ping and flipped to "show truth" to see what was happening because it was obviously something new, was that he pinged too far from me. It was odd because even though he'd seen me earlier (he'd dropped a torpedo on me a few minutes ago) he pinged well outside of what I figured the AOU surrounding my datum was. Unless his estimate of his sonar range was quite long, I'm not sure that was the best tactic for him to use.

So far, I haven't heard him do it again, although who knows? I've been playing the mission for a couple of days now (real time, not sim time). The mission ought to last about 16 hours of sim time, so who knows what will happen next?
