i use a simple pen and paper makes it a little more realistic to me!!!

Me too but it would make it much easier for me to have a lot of that info on my nav map. "Here there be monstors" for example.:p

I also use pen + paper for the "mapwork", and a calculator for speed +distance conversions (Yes, i know they didnt have calculators back in the -40's...) But the option to write on the map should definitely be possible.

Hello All,

Here's an options, if you have a good Color Printer, just set it to "poster" and print out the map.

I did this and with the settings, my map is 30" high. Not sure about the Width, I only wanted the Left half and that's 20" wide.

Plenty of room for notes & Post-its (if needed).

Of course, if you put all the pages together and laminate it, then you could use Dry Markers (but be careful not to wipe off your markings).

I have been making notes for some time using the ruler for straight lines to form letters and numbers, and the compass to form circles for letters and numbers. Its not perfect but it works.
