Hi!
Just to make it clear from the beginning, I did a complete reinstall of SH3 plus GWX just to check, and this is the mods on top of GWX, I'm using: GWX 16 atmosphere GWX Late War Sensors Antennas GWX Dec 23rd Corrections GWX Integrated Orders But none of these should interfere, I suppose!? Well, it's about these two wav files from SH3\data\Sound: Submarine_diesel_exterior.wav Submarine_electric_exterior.wav I'm leaving Kiel, I go to the external camera, and then I hear the electric sound from my u-boat at the surface, not the diesel sound... Is it a feature of GWX that I hear the electric sound in harbours, like it was possible in SH2 to use the electrics at the surface, and should I just wait untill I get to the ocean, and am I the only one who can hear this? Or is it a miswritten part of Sh3.sdl. Standing at the bridge, I also can't really hear the diesel sound - it does sound more like the electric sound! If I submerge into the water, I do hear the diesel, but that's another wav file... (Submarine_diesel_underwater.wav) Before I reinstalled GWX, I just started SH3 in stock version leaving Kiel and checked both bridge and external view, and there was no problem: there I heard the diesel sound! So please comments from both users and Kpt. Lehmann, which according to the manual is the responsible for the SDL file, which I suppose means the Sh3.sdl file!

Sorry, mate, I meant I have no problem. The soundcard shouldn`t have anything to do with it, as its just playing an ogg file.

I just wondered:
could the sound card have anything to do with it? I think not, cause I tried also using the sound exit from my motherboard > same problem! The sound card is pretty old (oct. 2002), but the motherboard is brand new (nov. 2006)
