Having XXI in 1939

I have tryed this and now I have lost my conning tower.

Is this in my basic.cfg correct?

@ kiwi_2005, your problem sounds so much like a Rollback issue common to SH3 Commander. I know you say you have no other mods, but it still needs to be asked, do you use SH3 Commander. If so ROLLBACK before doing the changes. If not then I'm perplexed, as any saved changes to the files are just that, saved. Try Save As instead of save and see if that makes any differance.

How did you get it to work?

I did all that was directed... loaded it up, first patrol went fine.. after I came back, the next mission was patrol area "0".

Apparently so...however, I personally have never tried it. If you are using SH3Commander don't forget to rollback prior to altering the file

As I mentioned elswhere on SubSim I have used C. Gibs directions successfully through 1 full war. This was on a vanilla 1.4 install, running beside Commander. Note that this is fun for some things (limited time, trying tactics,etc.) and is NO where near the fun of GWX (imho). I do not know if this will work with GWX and have no desire to be the first to try it....

@Respensus: With the above caveat on my installation, and a suggestion to OF COURSE back up your files first, I have 7-zipped the relevant, modified files from my installation. Even zipped they come to a little more than 3mb. PM me if you are still interested and I'll try to figure how to get them to you.

Large crews with no fatigue may be unrealistic, and I could argue that crew management is the reponsibility of the First Officer, not the Kapt.

Did you use the commander program to say what your patrol area was?

Is that pretty much the only way to use the mods?

I used Commander 2.6, and now that I think about it, I only specified a quadrant when the program said "O." It still usually assigned me to a patrolable (non-land) area.

Hi guys i am a total noob to forums but couldn't resist a crack at it i found a download at XXXXXXXX(Edited by Moderator Hitman to eliminate unwellcomed references to certain webs) that allows you to have the type xxi all the way through the game also i am running it with no probs in GWX .

I sincerely hope you have purchased the original disc and the 'crack' you refer to is only some form of mod

Yep original all the way XXXXXX(Edited by moderator to eliminate names of webs not wellcomed here) is good for trainers and cheats for various games.i don't agree with copies either if people are willing to make these games then the least we can do is put our hands in our pockets.

Not wanting to open another thread with this allready mentioned wish, I myself would like some help from you guys. I am obviously aware of this unrealistic aspect, but...

Can anybody help me get XXI in 1939, without me having to mess up so many lines in the game's cgf's ? I am almost certain that I would ruin my game, I've worked a couple of hours to tweak it my way and change it's resolution.
