wait a second....

wasn't there a big stink about modding for controllables in dw?

AFAIK that isn't allowed..

From what I understand Aaken is using the sacrifice an existing playable in order to get a new playable.

Some limitation remain, ie loadout etc.

To do that just requires use of the database editor. No hacking needed.

SCS don't mind that.

SCS don't want people to mod DW in such a way that there are new playable units in addition to the existing ones, like SCU for SCX.

Just read teh interview translated by google.

I'd like to know how Aaken made the new 27 units that "Even so we tried it and, recently, we were successful in creating totally new units, that do not sobrescriben the existing units." If I understand that correctly they got round the substitution method.

Yes it seems that Aaken found a method to use an arbitary number of new playable units without overwriting the default ones.
And that he is in negotiation with SCS around this issue.
Definitely, lets hope that SCS finally unleashes the full potential of DW.
