Well sure it does. If your pressure hull has lost some structual integrity then it's capability to keep the crushing water out is compromised. Very likely that another depth charge can finish you off. Whatever the case....it ain't good
 . Also, DC do not need a direct hit, I believe within in 20m of the boat was enough to sink it.
