![]() In Joea's post, just a few post above me, he links to a wikipedia page, which explains in detail wath "Winfixer" malware is, if you scroll down that wiki page and go to the section that says: Removing WinFixer You will soon find out that Spybot - Search & Destroy is in the list, it says: Several free reputed anti-spyware programs can detect and remove WinFixer, such as Spybot - Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware. It's not me who added that, it's been there for a long time, because it's a long time that Spybot Search & Destroy exist, and does the job very well, enough to be known by millions of internet users around the world, making it a top choice. And you telling me that that you think it won't do anything, and restoring is better. Spybot Search & Destroy will tell you exactly where the problem is, and if you want to take action, and many other things. Take time in life and explore, read a lot instead of looking for the easiest way out and saying things like a software that is unknown to you can't do anything. Making use of the restore is the lame way to do things, you will never get to know the real problem and resolve it. If you research enough, you will soon find out that the restore "can" actually mess up your files and programs if you do not take care of it properly; there are measure to take before you simply hit the restore button. But I am not here to explain that, I said enough. ![]() |
