Anyway, it's sort of a training tool that puts you in front of a fake hydrophone station where you can practice target identification by sound only... it comes with a very complete table of ships sounds and their RPM to speed relations. It even gives you nifty little tests like "Target is going at x knots, what boat is it?" and you have to identify it by sound alone, or the other way around, where you know the boat, but have to determine speed and range by sound only.

It pretty cool, except that most major mods have invalidated it by changing all the ship's sound files
