I assume you are talking USD? In Australian Dollars $80 to $100 is the going rate for a new game regardless of whether or not it is finished/polished. I wouldn;t pay any more than that even for a "perfectly working" game.

Well considering I have already shelled out $125.00 for one of the best tank simulators ever made I would have no problem shelling out the same for one of the best sub simulators ever made if it had all the above fixed and working as it should.

I voted for 60$ as that isn't too much, considering the game's price would go down. You only had to wait for the extremly rich to buy the game, then buy it at half a price and that is 60$

Hardware is necessary no matter what. Games are progressing with more and more use of resources every year. We're all going to have to upgrade eventually to keep up, so I really wouldn't tie the cost of your hardware with what you'll spend on software.

And as far as the worth of any particular PC game is concerned, I think it's only fair to make that judgement based on how it plays after it's had a good amount of patches applied since they all need them.

Value of unmodded and patched SH3: $50.00. How much would I pay for something that I think is just the coolest of cool. Well, as much as I would play, I think a figure of 100 might be conceivable, but again, that would be in a very very special game.

without highjacking the thread, could you tell us what that game is... I'd like to take a look at it.

Getting back on topic, I think it is clear that most people here are willing to pay extra for a good quality game... so please Ubisoft, no more "selling half a game for half price" OK ?
