Alittle OT, but does anyone agree with me that the 3D graphics have killed the 'feeling' from games??
Let´s take the old Indiana Jones adventure games for example. They were all hand drawn. Few years back, they made a new Indiana Jones with 3D graphics. It looked horrible! Every game reminds of another nowadays, back in the 2D times every game looked totally different from another. |

Back in the early days of 3d games could not express them selves because 3d was not artistically flexible in the way 2d was, but as technology improves 3d starts to become just another medium for games. It is true that however beautiful 3d is, it often lacks the endearing simplicity that 2d graphics have. However, this does not mean it lacks the art and beauty or personality that modern technology has allowed its creators to express. |

The questions is how to find balance. SH4 3D interiour looks nice, maybe we've come to a point where 2D and 3D colide into something beautifull ![]() But some games have a nice 3D look from far away, but at close up it's looks like hell. Other games are just the opposite. Perfection is a hard goal to acheave! |
