Uninstall one more time just to make sure. Then.....
Go into C: Drive/Program Files/Ubisoft and delete the leftover Silent Hunter 3 files from the uninstall. Also do the same in My Documents, delete the SHIII file, or save it outside My Docs and make a change in it's name so the exe doesn't somehow see it. If you have a career in it you want to save you can copy/paste it back in.
