Ok - I guess I haven't been paying enough attention either - I have been using version 2.6 and didn't realize there was a 2.6.1 update available. But now I'm confused - I used the "update" link inside SH3 Commander 2.6, and wound up with a very small zip file with nothing but some help files and a single, small SH3Cmdr.exe file. Thinking it was some sort of installer, I ran it (from within my download file) and it looked like it was just opening up the actual SH3 Commander program (but incomplete since it was in my download file all by itself).

The help files didn't seem to contain information about how to install this update - is it as simple as just replacing the existing 2.6 version's SH3Cmdr.exe file with this new one from the zip file, or do I need to download the 20MB+ full version of 2.6.1 from the Jonesoft site and uninstall/reinstall the whole SH3Commander again?

The 2.6.1 update consists of 4 files that you copy over the existing 2.6 ones. The updated .exe file has a few bug fixes and added support for MultiSH3.

Thanks for the info - do you know whether this is something you have to do while in port or would it be safe to do this mid-patrol?

Better safe than sorry. Make all changes while at port.
