I know that I would say this being British but not only that but the variety would then be fuller and more varied (brit submarines carried more tubes, better torps etc). Mediterranean and Indian Ocean theatres, Atlantic etc.

Is it correct to say that enemy submarines seem to of been omitted (so far from the SH series)?

There were some real confontations between enemy subs in WWII. HMS Trenchant etc.

In the second picture on this page....do I see also a type VIIB next to the british ones ? I know that the british captured a U-Boat and made it operational in the Royal Navy at some point. Is this it ?

The sub is indeed a a British VIIC, HMS Graph formally U-570
She was attacked and crippled by depth chages form a Lockheed Hudson, After the brits captuired her, she was repaired and renamed as HMS Graph, highlights of here british career include a spread shot at U-333 but missed, and attempted to attck admaral hipper by he was going to fast.....
Finally she ran aground whilst in tow and was scrapped.
