Yes. It’s a double edged sword.

I can’t remember the exact date, I think Aug.40, maybe 41, an enemy task force ends up parking in one of those harbors up north. A Fiji light cruiser and a couple of troop transports, and a whole mess of destroyers. I nailed the cruiser and transports and got pinned in the harbor by the destroyers. I spent almost 2 full days trying to escape and couldn’t, I kept having to slip into a little cove where they couldn’t get at me. 1 even ran aground coming after me. 15m under the keel at the deepest point, I was ready to give up.

Then a bunch of Stuka’s came over, bombed the shiznit out of them and I slipped away.

Yes, I’ve had them steal kills, but I’ve also had them save my can, so it works both ways. Either way, it adds to the immersion, I had fun with it.
