Default CTD...ongoing issue...help please

SH 4 installed just fine on Windows 11 and works great overall. However, ongoing CTD issue never had prior to Windows 11.

However, for THIRD time now, while running TMO Update BH it just suddenly
drops to desktop, closes game out. No warning, no message.

Started patrol December 9 1941..

Underwent air attack while clearing Manila Bay minefield (fun times!)

While en route to area, informed of invasion force at Vigan, 60 miles to East.

Attacked, depth charges, sunk a merchant after seven torpedoes, as six were duds, premature exploders, or ran deep (two exploded after running under and past the target lol)

After surfacing after dark, shadowing the task force...ran into a small convoy of a large ship and escort on 206 at 10 knots, while tracking from 8,000 yards, recharging batteries, went to 512 tc and then game just dropped to desktop. no warning, nothing. Same as previously occurred.

I do not believe this is a bug in the mod. Posting here since no responses in the Windows 11 thread, not a lot of traffic there.

Probably not much help, but the only thing that's caused me CTD's on W11 was the 3kyd bearing tool running at 4k. I don't think I'm running in compatibility mode, but I'm also running from Steam.

Just confirmed I am not running in compatibility mode.

i've had these kinds of collapses and i thought is was fragmented memory but it happened after a reboot so scotch that.

in addition to the CTD-while-nothing-is-happening i've also had some CTDs when i switch from Nav Map to periscope view or to external view....which leads me to think that i might have a video graphics issue. so, i d/l the latest AMD driver for my chip and we will have to keep playing to see if that is the issue.

BUT, i am still running on Win10.

can't wait for October. NOT!!

I loaded up my last save and had no issues from then on. Ran fine, just completed a patrol.

Great news! That's so distressing.

Seems to be graphic, though I'm not sure if that is ENTIRELY the case on my end.

I just had a CTD doing final check on L10 and Is-Was. The CTD happened when trying to adjust the cursor and slider on the L10.

I checked the EventLog and it reported that "kernel.dll" and "sh4.exe" didn't like each other.

I'm on Win-10 still on this rig. Old enough I can't run Win-11. Not sure whether a blessing or a curse at this point.

Saludos!
