Ok, so after playing with the Mission Editor all evening I managed to fix the problem. The Targets were way too far inland to lock on to. So I moved the Target icons over some land turrets so I can photograph them and complete the mission.
Thanks for the help! ![]() ![]() |

i did some testing and came to the same conclusion: that the targets are very small and because of that it becomes impossible to lock onto them when they are not is direct line-of-sight to your scope. i also discovered that playing with manual targeting on and no map updates on, one cannot lock onto the "targets" because of their size, or lack of size. however if one places a ship in the vicinity, one can "lock" onto to it sufficiently to get credit for a photo. so, in this use case, size does matter. also, the renown value of the "targets" must be at least 10 times what the Photo Value is inside of the Mission. if you updated that previously then you got the benefit of it now. glad to hear you worked it out and also that you are gaining confidence with the ME. good show! ![]()
