Most probably, you already know what is a lines plan, but for those who don't know, here is a good explanation: https://smoothslatestudios.wordpress...c-explanation/ Of course, there is still the possibility to use the above views of the different decks to create a proper hull's shape, but it's more difficult because decks are not perfectly horizontal. But it depends on ships. For instance, HMAS Westralia decks are nearly horizontal, so the deformation will be very slight, and the imprecision will be acceptable.
