'Stampede' of kangaroos invade Melbourne golf course

Quote:
A local golfer was left stunned after the mob of marsupials interrupted his game at the Heritage Golf & Country Club near Melbourne.

Stephen Roche, who filmed the video, described the incident as a "fair dinkum stampede" and can be heard warning the animals to "not stand on my golf ball".

This isn't the first time this has happened. The golf club was at the centre of a controversy in 2021 when it announced it would carry out a culling of kangaroos that went onto the golf course. After public outcry, the club later reversed the decision and erected fences instead.

Mother 'concocted drink to stop it being stolen by son's school bullies', leaving child in hospital

Quote:
Police say a woman has been arrested after concocting a drink to stop it from being stolen by school bullies - leaving one child in hospital.

Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Legacy Traditional School - Alamo Ranch, in Texas, after a child became sick.

Upon arrival they were told the stricken child had been given a drink by a classmate during a PE lesson.

The liquid in the sports bottle was found to contain a mixture of lemon, salt and vinegar.

"Shortly after the child consumed the drink, he began experiencing nausea and a headache," police said.

"Through the course of the investigation, it was learned that the mother of the student who provided the drink intentionally mixed the contents of the drink to allegedly prevent her son's drink from being stolen at school by other students."

The officers added that although the contents of the drink were non-toxic, the child had to be taken to hospital as a result of consuming it.

"Hospital staff informed the investigator that the child victim required additional medical monitoring and would eventually be discharged from the hospital," police said.

They said the mother who mixed the drink, Jennifer Lynn Rossi, 45, was charged with injury to a child causing bodily injury, and was being held in jail.

Roswell UFO sightings can be explained by classified programme, Pentagon reveals in new report

Quote:
Government investigations have found no evidence of alien technology, the Pentagon has said in a newly-released report.

The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), set up in 2022 to investigate and record reports of unknown objects, examined government investigations from as far back as 1945 but found there was no evidence of the US having alien bodies or technology.

In its report, the AARO said many "sightings" of UFOs were from people who unknowingly saw the testing or use of classified technology.

Claims of an alien spacecraft crashing near the New Mexico town of Roswell in 1947, for example, were consistent with Project Mogul - a classified programme using microphones flown on high-altitude balloons in a bid to detect Soviet nuclear bomb tests.

The AARO said: "All investigative efforts, at all levels of classification, concluded that most sightings were ordinary objects and phenomena and the result of misidentification."

Most UFO reports remain unsolved, the AARO said, but with more data, most of them could be "identified and resolved as ordinary objects or phenomena".

The AARO has also revealed plans for portable UFO detection kits to collect more data on "sightings".

Acting director Timothy Phillips said the new kits, currently being tested in Texas, would have an array of sensors that fit inside a protective case.

"If we have a national security site and there are objects being reported that [are] within restricted airspace or within a maritime range or within the proximity of one of our spaceships, we need to understand what that is," he told CNN.

"And so that's why we're developing sensor capability that we can deploy in reaction to reports."

The system is called Gremlin and could be deployed to a site with many reports of UAP - unidentified anomalous phenomena, the Pentagon's term for UFOs.

Britain faces growing number of anti-blasphemy protests against those who 'insult Islam', with threats of violence and intimidation becoming more frequent, new report warns

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ort-warns.html

Michael Gove needs to crack down on these anti-blasphemy protests because the Home Secretary James Cleverly isn't ****ing interested in it, but, we know he'll bottle it as usual, just like the rest of Westminster has in the past.

Get a bleeding backbone you currants or this will only get worse, if the Labour Party get into power the floodgates will really open and the rest of the UK will turn into the same cesspit as Londonistan.

Worms living near Chernobyl nuclear plant have developed a ‘super power’

Quote:
Worms living near the world’s most well-known nuclear disaster zone appear to have developed new powers - immunity to radiation.

In a new study, scientists visited Chernobyl to investigate nematodes, tiny worms with simple genetic makeup, which rapidly reproduce.

The researchers gathered the worms from soil samples, rotting fruit and other materials and tested local levels of radiation.

The levels of radiation varied from low levels which would be recorded in large cities, and high levels that are found in outer space.

Indonesia: Two pilots fall asleep for 28 minutes during Batik Air flight

Quote:
Two pilots fell asleep for almost 30 minutes during a passenger flight over Indonesia, according to a report.

The incident occurred on 25 January this year, on a Batik Air return flight from Haluoleo International Airport, in Indonesia's Southeast Sulawesi region, to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, in the capital, Jakarta.

Both co-pilots, a 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, fell asleep for around 28 minutes, according to the preliminary report from Indonesia's National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT).

When they woke up, they found the aircraft was "not on the correct flight path".

According to the report, the younger of the pilots - the second in command - had been struggling to sleep lately, after his wife gave birth to twins. The family had also recently moved house.

The initial leg of the flight out from the Indonesian capital went off without incident, and the younger pilot slept for about 30 minutes before waking up for the descent.

After landing, the report said that the men ate instant noodles in the cockpit, before taking back off again.

Then, with 153 passengers and four flight attendants on board, the pilots flew to 36,000 feet, at which point the 32-year-old told his co-pilot to take control of the plane, saying he needed to rest.

The younger co-pilot agreed, but during the flight inadvertently fell asleep as well, with both seemingly asleep for approximately 241 miles, according to the report.

Jakarta air traffic control repeatedly tried to contact the cockpit of the Batik Air A320 flight.

However, they received no response for 28 minutes until the older pilot woke up.

He then woke his co-pilot, corrected the flight path, and they were able to land the plane at Jakarta safely.

Batik Air has been approached for comment.
