688i Patch 107 ??

I downloaded a ZIP file ..'688 Englishv107'... which I take to be the Realism Patch for Jane's 688i. When I try to run it I get an window telling me I can't because the file : "mss32.dll" was not found.

I am running a stock XP machine. I wonder if that *.dll file is a '98 file ?

Any help ? I want to run/learn 688i before I try tackling DW...

Well... scratch that. I finally wised up and ran a Search in my machine. I found the file right there in the C:\Janes\688I... folder. Why in the world that patch can't find it.... beats me.

Any MORE help...??

I found that when I extracted the patch 'exe' into the 688i folder, it replaced the original. The patch EXE is the one that starts the game now...but that is the strangest 'patch' install I ever saw.

Sound right to you ???

As far as I can recall the patch is extracted in the 688 install folder and replaces your stock 688.exe (I don't remember the exact name) you can check your version by right clicking the exe and selecting properties. It should say version 1.07 in there...

Hello!!
After installing the EXE file, the game opens normally and works correctly, I was with the 1.0.0 version of the EXE and changed it to 1.07 (Patch of Realism) but after choosing the mission and going to the sub the game closes alone, saying that there were problems, All sub displays have black squares, and the game closes after that, I've already changed the disable3ds option from yes to no, in the ini file but not the result.

I play on windows 8.1

Help!!!
