Indeed! I still use the paper maps/road-atlases, collected from my trukken daze; and county Thomas Bros mapbook guides from my appraisal career. My-soon-to-be replaced cell phone (G3 upgrade to G5 by years-end)does not have GPS; which caused problems when reporting one major flood and one major fire to 911 services. When touring Ireland, Scotland's Isle of Skye, and southern England, (to Laycock)it's paper maps...especially ones with the distilleries marked on them!

My daughter's GPS cellphone backs me up: but makes occasional navigation errors too. That caused us to drive our rented Audi through a Scottish pasture tractorpath to one distillery!!?

I use GPS on the boat though..." What a fascinating modern age we live in..."
