How many of you guys/girls do the same..
Depends on what mood i'm in..before i downloaded GW i used to roll back and load up a saved file..but now i do go by the unwritten rule of dead is dead...i enjoy it more, no more fool hardy tactics.

Heh, i used to name, every uboat i ever lost playing DiD in my sig until i ran into a problem of having too many boats to list, and too little of space to list them in.

I usually play IX boats and start in 42. Ive only survived the war, once. I almost surived another time, but lost the boat late 1944. Most of the time, if im going to lose a boat, it ill happen late 43, early 44. Although i think the earliest ive lost a boat is in 42. Most of my losses are to aircraft. I think ive lost a boat to depthcharging, only once that i can remember, maybe twice.

Yes, air craft are lethal arn't they, I usualy can move out of the way of depth charges but I still have a tendancy to stay on the surface and try and knock down aircraft instead of a quick evasive manouvre and the crash dive.

I play dead is dead as well for pretty much the same reasons given already.Keeps you from using foolish tactics and doing things no real sub driver would do,like taking on destroyers with the deck gun.As well as it keeps me playing alot more cautiously and more like a true hunter instead of charging headlong into a fight.
