China Is Thinking About Building Kilometer-Long Spaceships

Of course there’s more that can be done. That’s why I said if China wants to make a name for itself in space it needs an original idea. Successful manned space flight, prolonged stays, docking, space walk, interplanetary travel and communications, experiments, moon landings. All done.

A kilometer long craft seems original and might place China on the list of firsts, I just don’t see it happening.

Do you think they don't proceed after having examine the plans ?

I believe they will try if these examine they starts with says it is possible

Spacetruck

One of the first thing China will do is to develop mining machinery to be placed on the Moon and the product need to be transported to a processing factory and here the Chinese will invent the Spacetruck.

Taking a driver license to "drive" this type of truck will quit different.

Like anything we do China will have to have a stated purpose to accompany the plan to build a kilometer long space craft. To build such a thing just to say you did seems pointless.

I think our plans are to establish a moon base and develop the means extract and transport its resources back to earth and maybe use the moon (The Eighth Continent) as a launch point to Mars.

Not sure what the purpose of a kilometer long space craft would be.

Okay but I don't know how else "done everything that could be done" is supposed to be interpreted.

You can get an awful lot of noodles in a Kilometre-Long Spaceship.

I remember some thoughts I had about building bigger spaceships.

The form of it I don't know but the ship shall be big enough to carry 40-50 people and they shall each and one of them have a 2X3X2 squaremeter where they can be for them self. The ship shall also be so big it can maintain 40-50 life with food and water.

It shall also be so big that it is possible to gather satellite parts-Like a hangar deck on a carrier.

The engines should be a part of this spaceship.

Nothing but a crazy idea.

We will first know in around 5 years from now whether they will construct this huge spaceship or not.

They have created a group of expert who shall investigate if it's possible to build such a ship and how. They have 5 years to this.

I say they will not be able to do it by them self, they should invite USA and Russia.

Then I suppose you mean that all the baby steps have been accomplished. And they are nothing more than the baby steps leaving vast room for improvement in order to move ahead.
