Sounds like your file associations are buggered up.
Unless you know how to manually fix via Windows Explorer, I'd do one of two things: 1. Open your compression software and check under the options for any file association settings. You may need to reset, or set, 7z and rar files to be associated with that programme; 2. Reinstall your compression software, paying particular attention to any messages like "Do you want to associate these file types with this programme". Select yes to such messages. Of course, I am assuming that you are now running on a stable, virus free platform. |
