Fortunately, The Frau is about a week behind me, although her symptoms were a lot more severe. So we were able to take care of each other.

On Monday we celebrated our 25th... with COVID. LoL

Hope you all get well soon. I think I may have had it March of last year, but that was before any testing was available. My mom got it last October and I went down to Florida to care for her. About five days afterwards I had fever and a watery nose for two days but no other symptoms.

The Frau, being the overachiever that she is, has just been diagnosed with COVID for the THIRD time!!!

She has all her shots and boosters. For Thanksgiving she visited her sister who is, unfortunately dying of cancer. Her family was visiting her for what would most likely be her last Thanksgiving.

It turned out that two of her sister's kids are antivaxers but they showed up unmasked too.

Seriously, your mother is dying of cancer and has pretty much NO immune system due to the Chemo but you still show up unmasked. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

Well this turned out to be a spreader event. The Frau was diagnosed with COVID about three days after coming home. We later found out that the entire group, including the cancer patient also have COVID. We have not gotten any updates about the sister.

Fortunately, The Frau's symptoms were pretty minor. Coughing, headache, nausea. She shook it in about a week or so.

Than came Christmas. We had her local family over at our place. Everyone was vaccinated and some had the booster.

Turned out that this was also a spreader event. The Frau tested positive for a third time. The rest of her family are also positive.

Unfortunately, this time her symptoms are pretty bad. Not bad enough to go to the hospital, but bad enough that we have an admittance plan in case. Fever, coughing, chest pains, pretty crappy.

(knocking on my head) Fortunately, I have remained symptom free during these last two infections. So I can do what I do best -- take care of the woman I love.

So we will be spending NYE together and hopefully she will be fast asleep early today. Sleep is what she needs.

This COVID crap ain't going away.

Even with both shots and the booster, some people can still get it. Gotta keep those masks and social distancing going.

Happy 2020 Too. Same [stuff] Different Year.

Sorry to hear of your wife's issues, Platapus. Hopefully you are both in contact with her primary care physician and let them know if her symptoms become worse. It's beyond belief that your sisters nieces / nephews didn't care enough about their mom and your wife and family to mask up.

In my honest opinion, this may well be the new normal, with regards to Covid infections.

I hope your wife gets better, Platapus. As I'm sure you already know, make sure she eats and gets plenty of rest as Rockstar said and also juices and fluids to keep her hydrated.

All the best.

I'm scheduled for my booster tomorrow.

Currently have it, for the second time. First time was like a intense flu, I was fatigued and had rather intense nausea and diarrhea. Took about two weeks to get over it. This past Thursday I woke up feeling strange, found out I have a fever, which has went away, continued to feel fatigued. Talking 12 straight hours of sleep, still feeling tired.
