sounds like you need to adjust the sound card acceleration to me, i had a similar problem with a game called oblivion, i had to buy a new sound card. if its not this then i would try a reinstall

A reinstall & still stuffed - Probably not SH3 then!
Failing that it maybe your sound drivers, may have gotten corrupted.
![]() Check that your sh3.sdl file is ok. Since you have even done a complete reinstall it tends to point to system/board/driver problem, do you have any sound problem with other games?

No Sir,
All other games work well. I've tried the SH3 commander compression setting and no joy. Reinstall - no joy, listened to files and they sound normal, re-checked SH3 commander copression setting and it is set on default, ahh the wonders of this new problem. :hmm: |

Well scratch my Scone!
Most unusual as these are only wav files! sh3.sdl file is sh3's mixer, & if only some of the sounds are stuffed you would think that it would be this file or the wav files themselves!
