Yes it is.

Sounds great - can't wait to try this out. Just a couple of questions:

1. Does this only work with the NYGM TW mod? I'm still running GW 1.0, but I'm expecting to give TW a shot once I get some time to figure out all my little personalizations again. However, that might be a few days yet and I'd like to try this 'scope fix in the meantime if it will work with GW (those Type IX scopes sticking up have really been bothering me).

2. Do you need to be in port to do this mod (I assume so - just checking to be sure)?

Thanks for getting this figured out - great work

BTW - if you settle onto the bottom with your scopes sticking out through the keel like some of those pictures above, do you get periscope damage? That would be pretty disconcerting if you weren't expecting it

1. This is a stand alone mod that is compatible with any install, such as GW and will be included in the next revision of the NYGM Tonnage War.

2. The u-boat is actually loaded each time you start, that is, as I was changing the scopes I was not required to exit the game only the mission. I suggest making a backup of your save games and try it.

3. Not tested but there is no collision sphere on the persicope apart from the one located at the very top and the damage zone is not all the way to the base and is still inside the u-boat.

As far as rectifying the issue there is a small catch. I can easily 'resize' the object so that it does not stick out the bottom of the u-boat. The catch is the location of the view does not in this instance move in relation to the change.

Or to say it another way, if I resize the scope by 1 metre then the view is 1 metre out of sync with the actual view location.

Thanks for the quick and thorough response. I got impatient and decided to load it up anyway, so I can confirm that indeed it does seem to work with GW 1.0, at least so far - and it looks awesome I was trying a couple of other mods out and had just left port anyway, so I did this in port just to be safe.

I also noticed that the scopes don't actually stick out the bottom of the Type IX (B version at least) - I guess it's a big enough boat to keep that from happening. Therefore, I wasn't able to test out the bottom theory. Based on what you said though, I wonder if (on the smaller boats that they do stick out of the keel on) you could settle down on the bottom and wind up resting sort of raised up on the bottoms of the scopes so your hull wouldn't take as much damage from scraping along the bottom - might be a nice unintended consequence if it actually worked out that way.

Again - great work - I love the way the bridge looks now

Just wondering if this was ever fixed? I am just about at a date to move to the D and would love to use this mod.
