help im struggling

I have a AUD$50 (GBP£20) Creative Audigy...never had a problem with SH3, so I doubt that it *alone* would be your problem.

Your problem does sound resource related though. Have you:
-confirmed your system specs against the SH3 detection tool?
-tried running EndItAll or fsAutoStart prior to loading SH3?

all my system specs exceed the recommended specs easily, i think ill try to revert the patch back to 1.3 it worked fine then ill let ya know when i get in from work

well i didnt go back to patch 1.3 all i did was turn off the music and that seems to have fixed the problem, soooo thanx for your help guys

Have you tried the usual fix for these things - turning down the hardware acceleration on your soundcard? Seems to work for most people...

i thought id sorted it out but i havent im still crashing to desktop, as i said before this only started happening when i installed 1.4b if i revert back to 1.3 will i loose my mods ive put on? the only reason i ask is that my brother put the mods on for me and i wouldnt know how to put them back on if i lost them
