Precision. Really. I have wondered about that for so long. So now I am wondering what is meant by Precision because it looks exactly the same as the last range setting. Well, at least to my eyes it looks the same. Then again, all rabbits are far sighted so.... -StealthRabbit

On the PPI screen, it is the same. The A-Scope is quite different. It shows you only a small section, rather than the entire range, and lets you move the "window" you're viewing. This allows you to get a very accurate range from the radar, and the ability to enter it directly into the TDC.

Yes Precisions is what Prec means, its part of the Radar and 3d TDC range mod (which is excellent) bit of a learning curve but once you do, you will love it. Enables you to use the SJ radar way the boats did (within parameters of the sim) to track and shoot target at long ranges, foul weather etc and get hits. Plus can send it to 3d TDC and its fun to watch the solution develop on the TDC alone. Just wish the "Correct solution" button lit up like in real life, would really add to it
