It can take you less than 12 years if your yearly income increased to where you can put more away each year. However, one would hope the cost for such a voyage does not outgrow what you are saving!

A few hours ago I did something I should have done from the start and not sitting here and speculate about the price for a cabin on a cruise ship

I send a email to this travel agent who have this 14 or 24 days cruise, and asked them what I as singleperson shall pay for a cabin with balcony.

Oh forgot about my last comment.

I got an answer today and the Price I saw on their homepage is the price I shall pay for the cabin I had was looking at.

So no double price as I always had been calculating with.

Have to send an email to this Danish travel agent for Cunard..and ask if the same rules is applied there too.
