GREAT!!! now im getting CTD with hsie installed

oh and yea before anyone asks, I have roll back checked, and it still says when trying to launch sh3 by itself, loaded with SH3 commander.

Seriously, im now 1.3 hours into messing with this, same crap.

Tried to install the HSI for the 4gb patch, hoping that was the cause of the CTD, although with no mods doubtful. and while the hsi was a success. CTD CTD CTD CTD!!!

seriously, this is getting so lame

Did you empty your SH3 save folder again? That would something like "C:\Users \UserName \Documents \SH3. The game runs off the information in that folder, and if the Save says commander is in there, commander is in there, and it will crash you every time. Any major changes in the mods or configuration of the game, and you need to empty the Save folder.

I think i read somewhere that you need fixed files to use with sh3 commander with gwx, maybe someone can give you a link.

?? is there more? You really shouldn't willy-nilly mods and utilities in and out of the game. Install SH3 in a non- "Program Files" folder. Empty any Save folders you might have. Any and all Saves are suspect. There are several options to get a 4gig patch to set the bits on the SH3.exe file, but SH3.exe cannot be "Read-only" in Windows. Make certain SH3 runs properly on its own again first. Then attempt to do a simple mod and see how it goes. Once the first mod works, add a 2nd. etc., but test between steps if possible. If we missed another statement, sorry.
