Actually I also found the TSR file which gives me the mission writeup.
RSRDC is really nice with the details on missions. Much better than stock. This objective is a 4 day patrol, so I think I have one more day to go, and not ship count. That being the case can anyone lend some color on the parameters in MIS files? Is there a thread or write up? |

If you see a "Patrol" mission, that would be time-limited in a given area. that "Time=5760.000000" you see is given in minutes, so 96 hours, or 4 days. The "AreaName=Patrol East China Sea 05_Zone1" tells you the MapZone it uses, and you would have to look at the MapZone description, which is always given in kilometers, or in the TSR file, where the figure might be converted to nautical miles. If you see a "Sink" mission, those have you travel to a specific location to receive orders to "sink shipping", whether it'd be warship or merchant. Generally speaking in Stock, it would be 10,000 tons. Be aware that in some mods, the zone area, and / or time limit, and / or the tonnage to sink, do not always match between the two files, such that orders might say "stay six days", but after four days, you might be moved. I do not remember if lurker did any of that, but may have.
