Yeah, cool idea:
Downtown Salt Lake City. The Mormon Temple and Tabernacle are on the left side. The view is looking southwest. The mountain range in the distance are the Oquirrh range. The look dark, but towards the middle is a lighter smudge. That is the Bingham Canyon Copper mine, the largest open-pit mine in the world. It's about 25 miles away from this viewpoint. https://www.abc4.com/weather/salt-lake-live-cam I couldn't find a good working cam for the area, but just a 30 minute drive away are seven ski resorts all packed with snow.
