Lol I had look that word up. But I don't need to pretend to be a rocket scientist to know a black hole cannot be photographed. Alerting others to that fact was why I clicked on the clickbait headline which may lead others too believe it could.
Also, it pays to know these kinds things especially since my hobby is astrophotography. Helps prevent me from looking like an idiot in front of others at star parties. Part of my library includes Deep Sky Imagining Primer by Charles Bracken a very good but difficult read for beginners.

You are splitting hairs. No one was expecting an image of the event horizon, even less the singularity itself, but an image of a black hole which we absolutely got. The image shows everything expected; the material disk, the distortion of the disk and the dark area caused by the black hole in the center.

If it's not an image of a black hole, then what is it in your mind?

The reasoning for the chosen depiction of both, are interesting!?

If the earth is flat, as some still believe ... in fact there is even a flat earth society ...

Then how come everything we can see with our naked eye in our solar system and beyond with telescopes and now a far Horizon camera ... is round?

Time for this flat earth society to give in and agree that not only is everything round, but is by intelligent design.

Which is another point no one can prove.

Yep! It's real I looked it up they are still in belief that the world is flat

Despite all evidence to the contrary, for more than a century the Flat Earth Society has maintained that our planet is not, indeed, a sphere. Instead, they posit that it’s a massive, flat disc with the Arctic Circle at its center and Antarctica as a towering, 150-foot-tall ice wall around Earth’s rim. They’re confident NASA is a black ops government agency whose sole purpose is to guard this wall from naysayers, dragons, and kraken. They also firmly believe gravity is an illusion, we’re orbited by an invisible “antimoon,” and the sun is only 3,000 miles above the Earth. The society dismisses all photographic and scientific evidence to the contrary as fake.

I who are very interested in our univers and the science surrounding it, was very excited when I saw the picture.

The little knowledge I have gained by watching all these documentaries about our univers told me or trying to remember what I have learned about black hole and the all the things around this hole.

In my current state of mind I perceive a shopped image of light being bent by strong gravitational forces. Though I have on occasion altered my perception of time and sometimes reality then got the munchies after smoking some dank purple hindu
