You are absolutely correct. I just wanted to show the guys that an AOB can be found visually at any degree with simple rules of thumb, and we both know that a 90 deg angle is not always possible. I think the more tools at our disposal is better. Plus with the Dick Okane method the video shows map contacts which I never use. my methods are at 100% realism, so my errors in plotting a target course can mean I have to visually get AOB.

Sometimes ships can come out of fog, or if we are attacking destroyers, we need a quicker method to get the AOB. Plus I do this method most days, and I have a great time doing it!

nice video keep up the good work...i am working now on magUI real navigation where u don't have the navigator to mark your position on the map... u need to calculate your position via celestial fix using the sextan and dead reckoning

It's easier to just hover over the chart with your pencil tool. Once your mouse is in the right position for the coorinates, push E to hide the chart and then click.

No need to play with angle tools or draw lines across the chart.

Well bstanko6 you’ve gone and done it - inspired me to reinstall SH5! This immersive style of gameplay using realistic SOP’s is what brings these games alive for me. Well done on this, sir!
